(5602) Water-reducing agent, or Wetting agent
A type of workability agent, marketed under proprietary names, used to increase the slump of concrete and, therefore, to enable a concrete of a given slump to be produced with a relatively reduced water content. It generally contains either sulphonated organic compounds, or carbohydrate salts, in combination with other active or inert materials.
